EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) is now moving to electronic payment system. PF refund amount will now be credited directly into member’s bank account through NEFT (National Electronic Find Transfer).
Currently department issues cheque and post it to member’s address, the process takes up to a month and leads to a large number of complaints. EPFO will also collect the mobile numbers of the members so that it could send SMS alerts informing about credit of the pension amount.

I am a resident of Pune but holding a company (vMoksha Technologies) PF account in Bangalore. My PF account number is – KN/BN/35006/608. I left that organization in Dec-2003. Since then (almost nine years) I am following-up with the Bangalore PF office for my PF withdrawal.
It is ridiculous to know that it takes such a long time to get my own PF amount back. Also, there is no clear communication about the reasons why my PF withdrawal request is not yet processed.
Since last multiple years I am following-up with PF office in Bangalore and other government offices several times to understand the status of my PF withdrawal but no luck. Also, PF grievance (REF # SROWF/E/2011/04330) filed online did not result in any response from Bangalore PF department.
For your understanding below are all the previous postal communications made to PF offices and government departments –

You can apply for PF withdrawal for house purchase even if house is in joint name of you and your son.
Sir, They have rejected my application due to flat is purchase in joint name of myself and my son. Giving the refrence of clause 68B.

One correction from earlier comment, house can be jointly owned with spouse only for withdrawal.
As per clause 68B: No withdrawal shall be granted for purchasing a share in a joint property or for construction a house on a site owned jointly except on a site owned jointly with the spouse.
