Pay Haryana Electricity Bills Online

Haryana is divided into two areas in electricity distribution.

  1. DHBVN – Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers districts in southern Haryana (e.g. Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Rewari and Sirsa)
  2. UHBVN – Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts.

We would cover each division here so that anyone can pay Haryana electricity bills online.

DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)

Residents of Southern Haryana (Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Sirsa and other cities which comes under DHBVN) can check their electricity bills, payment status online and can pay electricity bill online.

DHBVN -Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam

The process flow to make online payment of your electricity bills is as under :-

  1. Logon to DHBVN Online electricity bill payment website.
  2. Select Account number or K.No in account type field.
  3. Provide your account or K.No in next input field and click on Add button.
  4. If details are correct it would show you following bill details: Account No, Name, Address, Bill No, Bill Issue Date, Due Date, Net Amount, Surcharge, Gross Amount, Payable Amount. You can also view detailed bill here.
  5. Click on checkbox saying “Please update your Mobile Number and Email ID so as we can confirm Receipt of your Payment”
  6. Provide your mobile number and email address in respective fields.
  7. Click on Pay Now button and it would take you to billdesk payment gateway. There you can pay bill using debit cards (VISA, Master or Maestro debit cards), credit cards(American express, VISA or MasterCard), mobile wallet, cash cards (ICash card, Paycash, Oxigen Wallet and Vodafone M-Pesa) or using internet banking facility. 1% Charges on bill amount applicable on credit card/debit card/wallets/cash cards. Service tax at actuals applicable on charges.
  8. Note: Please View/Download the bill before Make Payment. After Make Payment, View Bill Feature is not available.

UHBVN - Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam

Like DHBVN, UHBVN has also started accepting bill payments online. People living in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts will also be able to pay their electricity bills online.

    the electricity sub-station carterpuri is not behaving well with the electricity faults as a result of which domestic quarrels take place and the buisness enviorment in the millenium city of gurgaon suffers state tax loss and the law of land comes to the h.u.d.a.

    please imrovise the electricity in contacts with reliance energy under mr. ambani!

    i had a concern – i wanted to pay my electricity bill online and i am resident of panchkula so my home does not come under dakshin bijli vibhag.. plz your help in this regard would be much appriciated.. Thanks

      • Faridabad Friday 23 April 2010. पिछले साल लोक सभा चुनाव हुए जिले के निवासिओं को लगा की अब कांग्रेस की केंद्र में सरकार है और सांसद भी उसी पार्टी से ताल्लुक रखते हैं इसलिए जिले की कायाकल्प हो जायेगी पर टांय टांय फिस्स ?
        फिर विधान सभा का चुनाव हुआ और कांग्रेस के कई विधायकों ने मोर्चा मारा तब भी जिले के निवासिओं को यही उम्मीद थी की अब तो केंद्र में राज्य में हर जगह कांग्रेस ही कांग्रेस है अब बल्ले बल्ले करने का मौक़ा मिल ही जाएगा जबकी विधानसभा चुनाव के बाद जिले के चार विधायक मंत्री भी बन गए पर नतीजा शहर वासी खुद देख रहे हैं |
        फरीदाबाद की सडकों पर हर रोज लोग पीने के पानी की फ़रियाद करते फिर रहे हैं | बिजली का तो हाल ही मत पूँछिये घर के टीवी कंप्यूटर को सही सलामत बचना मुश्किल हो गया है बार बार कही हर घंटे कभी घंटे में तीन कट लगने के कारण फूंक रहे हैं और शहर नेता मंत्री चंडीगढ़ के आलीशान बंगलों में बैठकर तमाशा देख रहे हैं | चुनाव के वक्त जनता की तीन मांगें जादातर होती हैं बिजली ,पानी. सड़क पर शहर की किस्मत में यही तीन चीजें नहीं है | अगर इसी तरह तमाशा चलता रहा तो शहर शहर राम भरोषे रह जाएगा |

  7. Hi.. Please do not use dhbvnl site for doing online payment (since it is still in Beta stage). I used this site to pay my Bill on 2nd Jan 2009. The amount was debited from my account but the site is still showing that amount as outstanding. Sent a mail also but of no use. I didn’t get any reply till today. There is no phone number mentioned in the site where I can contact. Can somebody help please.

      I also had same issue and have paid on 2nd Jan 2010. I have contacted Mr. Anil Bolan (AGM/Banking Collection) on his number 9812452555. He is saying that it will be rectified in 3-4 days. Amount is there is their account.

  13. Hey Pankaj, any ideas when the online payments will start working again?

    The easy bill mechanism has created problem multiple times because they fail to deliver on time and then you need to constantly track them…I was really banking on the online system for viewing and paying bills. It pushes the middle man out of the equation, and makes the whole process clean.

      No idea when they will be starting it back.
      Last time I talked to Mr. Anil Bolan (AGM/Banking Collection) on his number 9812452555, he said that they are facing some issues on technical side and disabling the online payment feature for now.
      I had been paying only thru online system since it started, Now I have to again go back to manual submission at their payment center.

      On-line payment of electricity bills for DHBVN has been temporarily disabled due to some technical issues.
      However, there is no service tax/charge involved in case the payment is done online.

  15. If there is a cut in electricity then there is a pronlem trying to pay online. They should ensure no cuts before tring to improve other parts of the service.

  18. Very short DHBVN is going to open online bill payment facility with 36 nos banks. The work is under process n this facility available shall be in somewhere July 2010.
