Haryana is divided into two areas in electricity distribution.
- DHBVN – Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers districts in southern Haryana (e.g. Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Rewari and Sirsa)
- UHBVN – Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts.
We would cover each division here so that anyone can pay Haryana electricity bills online.
DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)
Residents of Southern Haryana (Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Sirsa and other cities which comes under DHBVN) can check their electricity bills, payment status online and can pay electricity bill online.
The process flow to make online payment of your electricity bills is as under :-
- Logon to DHBVN Online electricity bill payment website.
- Select Account number or K.No in account type field.
- Provide your account or K.No in next input field and click on Add button.
- If details are correct it would show you following bill details: Account No, Name, Address, Bill No, Bill Issue Date, Due Date, Net Amount, Surcharge, Gross Amount, Payable Amount. You can also view detailed bill here.
- Click on checkbox saying “Please update your Mobile Number and Email ID so as we can confirm Receipt of your Payment”
- Provide your mobile number and email address in respective fields.
- Click on Pay Now button and it would take you to billdesk payment gateway. There you can pay bill using debit cards (VISA, Master or Maestro debit cards), credit cards(American express, VISA or MasterCard), mobile wallet, cash cards (ICash card, Paycash, Oxigen Wallet and Vodafone M-Pesa) or using internet banking facility. 1% Charges on bill amount applicable on credit card/debit card/wallets/cash cards. Service tax at actuals applicable on charges.
- Note: Please View/Download the bill before Make Payment. After Make Payment, View Bill Feature is not available.

UHBVN (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)
Like DHBVN, UHBVN has also started accepting bill payments online. People living in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts will also be able to pay their electricity bills online.

What is the best way to check for the account and payment details Pankaj on DHBVN for Faridabad? I see the sub-division code as F31 but my account number says XX11-1234 ( ofcourse I have changed the numbers ). I do not know what is this XX and as per the site, you can login n view details either by K.No or Bill Number or Ledger and Account number. I do not see any K.No on my bill and since I do not know what is XX in the account number, I cant search by that either. Also my bill number shows as 1234 ( number changed again ) and when I search by the bill number, it says invalid customer. Please help!

Old website (http://202.56.120.172/elpsoftmis/WebPages/ConsumerInfoStart.aspx) does not support your sub division code F31.
You should use new website (http://epayment.dhbvn.org.in/). XX11 would be your ledger code, F31 would be SubDivision Code and 1234 is account number.
Thanks Pankaj but what is a K.No. how do I find that? Also can the new website be used to make online payment since for Faridabad the DHBVN website shows the old link for Faridabad? Please suggest

K.No is a unique code assigned to customers in some areas (for which old website works).
All DHBVN customers can pay online on new website, no matter where they live. Although old website says that it can be used for Faridabad, some sub divisions have not been included yet.
2 more questions Pankaj and really sorry to bother you with this –
1) If I click on payment history and I enter the account number as F31-XX11-1234, it says no transaction history found….how can I check for my payment history?
2) If I click on make payment, the bill shown is previous bill which is already paid and it does not show my current bill which I am trying to pay….Since I need to make online payment for personal reasons…..is there any other merchant site thru which the bill can be paid if DHBVN is not showing my current bill? Also, why would my current bill not show up on the new site…..?

1. As of now, new payment system does not show old payment records (payments done using old website/cash/cheque).
2. Sometimes, it takes 5-6 days for new bills to appear on the website, if in your case, the time lag is more, I would suggest you to pay offline. There is no other merchant site to pay DHBVN bills online.

I would advise you to recheck after 2-3 working days.
Sometimes it takes more time to upload bills.
Thanks Pankaj , I am waiting for that but in meanwhile I have logged the online complaint (as per the popup says) and sent the mail to ‘[email protected]’ on 26/06/2014 but till now “NO” response yet.
Can you please let me know if they have any SLA for that or they just ignored the mail and online logged complainants.

As such there is no SLA followed by them.
As per my experience, nobody takes care of online logged complaints. However you may receive response for email sent on collectiondhbvn email id.

There is no option available to pay in EMIs.
However you can pay using credit card and can get charge converted to EMI. You would need to contact credit card company for same.

when I clicked on Make Payment Button, it took me to a new link
http://epayment.dhbvn.org.in/ where I did my payment after putting some required information , it took me to paynet link where I provided my credit card information , then it took me to the master ard webpage where I entered the One time pin and the payment was deducted from my credit card but I didnt get any receipt fo my transaction on the website nor were the payment details updated on the any of the new or old website.
Kindly suggest what needs ot be done.

Sir, Im a resident of Palam Vihar. In the month of May, new meters were installed and since then electricity bill is shooting like rocket.
earlier we used to pay around 2.5 K. But this month it went to 18.9 K. Something is going crazy.

U can not make account by this ACCount No. ACCOUNT NO.F31XX2031000 (at http://www.dhbvn.org.in/web/portal/registration). Dhbvn is giving new account no. it is will in numeric words only. then u can make account. DHBVN has started to giving bill with this new account no.
