DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam):
Residents of Southern Haryana (Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Sirsa) can now check their electricity bills, payment status online and may now even pay electricity bill online.
The process flow to make online payment of your Electricity Bills is as under :-
1. Log on to Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam website. Their website seems to be down. Please proceed to step 2 directly.
2. Click on link ‘On Line Payment and Bill Details‘
3. In left side block, under consumer information, Put Your K. No. (10 digit unique Identification No. which U can find out from your bill as DTR No. or K.No.) and submit. You may also use your Account no or Bill number.
4. Click on ‘Online payment‘ link (8th option at left side).
5. Click on ‘Make payment‘ button. Make sure Pop-up blocking is disabled for this site in your browser as payment page opens up in pop-up window only.
6. Choose option viz Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Internet Banking etc. There is a extra charge in case you are paying through credit, debit or cash card. However there is no extra charge for payment through internet banking.
7. Choose Bank name (in case of Internet banking)
8. Do login in your bank account
9. Make payment
10. Take print out of receipt. remember U can take print out of receipt at any time after successful payment made through the system.
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam customers (Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurgaon, Mewat, Palwal and Faridabad districts) can complain for electricity issues on 155333 and 18001801615
Also, you may lodge your grievance regarding billing or technical faults online (Click here). However, I am not sure whether those guys actually check them. I had lodged a complaint for incorrect billing but got no response even after 1 month.

Like DHBVN, UHBVN has also started accepting bill payments online. People in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rothay, Jhajjar and Jind districts will also be able to pay their electricity bills online.

My current total bill amount divided by my meter reading comes out to 5.2 Rs/unit, whereas earlier it was around 5 rs/unit. Has the charges increased and how much?

I have received my bill for may-june.Total amount is 11357.But when i am trying to pay the bill online using creadit card.Its showing transaction amount as 11481.Could someone explain why do i need to pay extra amount????

On bill payment page, its clearly mentioned that paying online using credit or debit card will cost extra transaction charge.
If you pay through netbanking, there is no extra amount charged.
Dear Sir,
The payment made through credit card attracts service charge @1% and is levied by the credit card company. The notice in this regard is displayed for the consumer while selecting the mode of payment.

This has happened probably due to some disruption in the Internet
connection. Please wait for 48 hours and it will automatically be
adjusted in your account and you can take the print by clicking the
option” Online payment details > Details”.
In case the payment is not adjusted after 48 hours, kindly inform us
for doing the needful.

While I am sure on line facilitation is a good service offering, my personal experience is that the office at Kanhai gaon (sec 44/ 45?) has a young, extremely patient officer in Mr Malik, who makes short work of obstacles and impediments. I not only had a humungous error of reading but needed a check meter, then the meter to be changed and then all calculations to be retrieved and the entire mess to be re-worked and a fresh payment to be paid and received. It took a total of four or five visits. The staff were gruff but helpful. Mr Malik’s immediate subordinates were knowledgeable and quick and we deeply appreciated the speed of redress.
I got meter installed at my flat (in sector 9) last year but am not getting any electricity bills. I tried contacting DHBVN customer care & website but they need K No to view my bills. Is there a way to figure out KNo from my meter receipt no ? Any suggestions who to contact about it. Pls. note that i am currently not residing in Gurgaon.
