EPF refund status

Now you can check your EPF refund status online, Click Here Remember to open it in Only in Internet Explorer.

In case, you are not happy with status of your withdrawal/refund application, you may contact EPF office. You may find address/phone number on this link: http://www.epfindia.com/epfo_directory.htm

If they also do not listen, launch a complaint on this website: http://epfigms.gov.in/

EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) is now moving to electronic payment system. PF refund amount will now be credited directly into member’s bank account through NEFT (National Electronic Find Transfer).

Currently department issues cheque and post it to member’s address, the process takes up to a month and leads to a large number of complaints. EPFO will also collect the mobile numbers of the members so that it could send SMS alerts informing about credit of the pension amount.

        • @Poonam
There is no fixed timeline provided by EPF department to release EPF withdrawals. Can't comment on how much time they will take.
My own EPF form is pending since April 2011 due to computerization of department.

  • Hello Sir,

I need to withdraw my PF amount and currently working in MNC in Chennai and My PF amount is Around 50000

Let me know the criteria for the same

whether can i withdraw the full amount of my PF?

    Regards,

    Rengaraja

    • @Rengaraja
You can withdraw full EPF amount which was deposited during previous employers.
PF deposited with current employer cannot be withdrawn generally unless there is special request like on buying/constructing home, daughter's marriage etc.

      • Hi Batra,

thanks for your reply....But my company says that we can able to withdraw only,if the Persons should complete 5 years of service

        Regards,

        Rengaraja Narayanan

        • @Rengaraja
If you withdraw before completion of five years of service, amount would be taxable, but you can very well withdraw it.

  • Sir,
I had submitted my claim of EPF through my employer M/s Craftsman to EPF office(Delhi south) three years back, but no amount was released nor it was rejected due to any deficiency. Despite my repeated requests, EPF amount was not released. I have again submitted my claim during May,2011 through my ex-employer, but still EPF amount is adamant to release the EPF amount. I have requested several times to the concerned office, but needful has not been done. Can I hope that they will release the amount immediately with interest which has been delayed for more than 3 years. Claim No. is DL-32177/0157.
