EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) is now moving to electronic payment system. PF refund amount will now be credited directly into member’s bank account through NEFT (National Electronic Find Transfer).
Currently department issues cheque and post it to member’s address, the process takes up to a month and leads to a large number of complaints. EPFO will also collect the mobile numbers of the members so that it could send SMS alerts informing about credit of the pension amount.

ALL COMPANIES' PROVIDEND TRUSTS ARE AS DISHONEST AS THE COMPANIES THEMSELVES.
MY PREVIOUS EMPLOYERS, MOST RESPECTABLE NAMES IN THE INDUSTRY, THEIR PROVIDEND TRUSTS HAVE CHEATED OUT ON ME:
- GOODYEAR TIRES
- DCM GROUP
- USHA MARTIN
THEY MERELY SAY- "OUR RECORDS DO NOT SHOW ANY PF DUES, PAYABLE TO YOU."
EVEN EPF STAFF/ OFFICERS TURN A DEAF EAR WHEN I COMPLAIN TO THEM ABOUT THESE TRUSTS.
ON THE CONTRARY,
- REPF SYSTEMS ARE DEFINITELY SLOW
- BUT RARELY LEAVE FOR SCOPE FOR DISHONESTY/ FRAUD BY REPF EMPLOYEES.
- ARE FORMALITY RIDDEN
- WHICH BY ITSELF ENSURES THAT YOUR MONEY IS SAFE
I HAVE HAD TO GRILL THEM FOR 5 YEARS- TO GET MY TRANSFERS FROM 5 PREVIOUS JOBS SPANNING 26 YEARS- YES EVEN AFTER 26 YEARS, FINALLY I GOT MY RECORDS RIGHT.
REPF ARE BOUND BY RIGID SYSTEMS TO MAINTAIN THEIR RECORDS STRAIGHT.
IN THIS CASE- DO NOT LOSE HEART.
SEND REPEATED MAILS/ REMINDERS TO ALL- STATING THAT YOU EXPECT FRAUD IN YOUE EPF ACCOUNT- IN CASE YOU DON'T GET A REPLY WITHIN SAY 30 DAYS.
KEEP COPIES OF YOUR MAILS- QUOTE THEM TO THEIR SUPERIORS- YOU WILL FINALLY GET THEM WITH THEIR GOAT!
