Haryana is divided into two areas in electricity distribution.
- DHBVN – Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers districts in southern Haryana (e.g. Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Rewari and Sirsa)
- UHBVN – Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts.
We would cover each division here so that anyone can pay Haryana electricity bills online.
DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)
Residents of Southern Haryana (Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Sirsa and other cities which comes under DHBVN) can check their electricity bills, payment status online and can pay electricity bill online.
The process flow to make online payment of your electricity bills is as under :-
- Logon to DHBVN Online electricity bill payment website.
- Select Account number or K.No in account type field.
- Provide your account or K.No in next input field and click on Add button.
- If details are correct it would show you following bill details: Account No, Name, Address, Bill No, Bill Issue Date, Due Date, Net Amount, Surcharge, Gross Amount, Payable Amount. You can also view detailed bill here.
- Click on checkbox saying “Please update your Mobile Number and Email ID so as we can confirm Receipt of your Payment”
- Provide your mobile number and email address in respective fields.
- Click on Pay Now button and it would take you to billdesk payment gateway. There you can pay bill using debit cards (VISA, Master or Maestro debit cards), credit cards(American express, VISA or MasterCard), mobile wallet, cash cards (ICash card, Paycash, Oxigen Wallet and Vodafone M-Pesa) or using internet banking facility. 1% Charges on bill amount applicable on credit card/debit card/wallets/cash cards. Service tax at actuals applicable on charges.
- Note: Please View/Download the bill before Make Payment. After Make Payment, View Bill Feature is not available.

UHBVN (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)
Like DHBVN, UHBVN has also started accepting bill payments online. People living in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts will also be able to pay their electricity bills online.

DHBVN has started a new registration process, dhbvn.in has it.

Yes there is the registration process at dhbvn.in, but there is no option to make the payment. Today is the last date for payment and the old website is not working

Looks like new bills (generated in Dec) has not been uploaded to website yet. My bill (for Uppal Southend) was delivered on 29th Dec at home but not yet visible on website.
I also tried to pay bill but bill amount is shown as blank and no details are visible. HOwever details of previous bills are available. I have depositing online since the facility started but it appears that Dec. bill is not yet uploaded for payment.

I think it would be safe to pay bill offline this month rather than waiting for online facility.

There is some technical up-gradation going on in DHBVN website so its not accepting online payments as of now.
I have shifted to Gurgaon 2 months and this is my first bill and everytime i click online payment and billing details at dhbvn.com, it says SERVICE UNAVAILABLE.
Registration at dhbvn.in allows you to receive bill alerts on mobile/email. It is not an online payment facility.
Very bad..i used to pay electricity bills online in Delhi…Tata Power has done a great job since it took over delhi vidyut board in 2002.
Very bad…i have to take a half day to go to kanhai village sub office and pay bill there !!!
Can anyone tell me is there a cheque drop there in kanhai village sub office and when office opens?

I mailed to DHBVN customer service yesterday and have recd a reply – “Now a days this facility is unavailable for some technical reason.Please pay your bill in your concerned sub division by cash or cheque.”
Also, there is no drop box to drop cheques. Saturday Kanhai village office works at 9.30 – 12pm – so make sure you reach in time. Good Luck
Thanks Kchitij…My bad luck as i checked your message late. I reached kanhai village office at 4 p.m today and they accept payment from 9-1.30 on weekdays and from 9-11:30 on Saturday !!!! This is very tough for working professionals- Paying electricity bills in a millennium city is a nightmare !!!
Also i read one message posted at cash window- Due to data server down, no payments will be collected today !! There is one more message- for receipts please come next day !!!! Is it true for receipts we have to come next day?? Also can anyone tell if easy bill takes DHBVN bills?

Online electricity bill payment in working since more than two years. This time, there is some technical work going on in the application so we are unable to make online payments.
It should be sorted out soon. This time you would need to pay bill offline and from next time on-wards it should work fine.
Link for online Payment of DHBVN, Gurgaon is now working but new bill has not been uploaded yet for payment.

Hi, have been trying to make the online payment (something that I have been doing for two years), but the current bill (date 15-01-2013) has not been uploaded yet. Normally it used to be uploaded in 3-4 days time. Is the old web site continuing or things would re-start on the new web site post new registrations?

This month there has been some issues with online billing application so bills are not uploaded on time.
I would advise you not to wait for online system but pay bill offline this time.

If you have lost original bill, then you would need to get duplicate bill from electricity office only.
You won’t have any other option but to stand in Q to pay bill as online facility is not working.
Else you may also wait for bill to be uploaded into system, but it may be after last date and then you would have to pay late fees as well.

It’s very erratic here … sometimes it comes, sometimes it comes after due date..sometimes it doesn’t come…
