Haryana is divided into two areas in electricity distribution.
- DHBVN – Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers districts in southern Haryana (e.g. Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Rewari and Sirsa)
- UHBVN – Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, which covers Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts.
We would cover each division here so that anyone can pay Haryana electricity bills online.
DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)
Residents of Southern Haryana (Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Narnaul, Sirsa and other cities which comes under DHBVN) can check their electricity bills, payment status online and can pay electricity bill online.
The process flow to make online payment of your electricity bills is as under :-
- Logon to DHBVN Online electricity bill payment website.
- Select Account number or K.No in account type field.
- Provide your account or K.No in next input field and click on Add button.
- If details are correct it would show you following bill details: Account No, Name, Address, Bill No, Bill Issue Date, Due Date, Net Amount, Surcharge, Gross Amount, Payable Amount. You can also view detailed bill here.
- Click on checkbox saying “Please update your Mobile Number and Email ID so as we can confirm Receipt of your Payment”
- Provide your mobile number and email address in respective fields.
- Click on Pay Now button and it would take you to billdesk payment gateway. There you can pay bill using debit cards (VISA, Master or Maestro debit cards), credit cards(American express, VISA or MasterCard), mobile wallet, cash cards (ICash card, Paycash, Oxigen Wallet and Vodafone M-Pesa) or using internet banking facility. 1% Charges on bill amount applicable on credit card/debit card/wallets/cash cards. Service tax at actuals applicable on charges.
- Note: Please View/Download the bill before Make Payment. After Make Payment, View Bill Feature is not available.

UHBVN (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam)
Like DHBVN, UHBVN has also started accepting bill payments online. People living in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind districts will also be able to pay their electricity bills online.

You would have to apply in local electricity office for load increase.
You may have to deposit extra security for same.
I am unable to pay my house electricity bill of DHBVN, Faridabad. I am in sector-8, faridabad. The online bill system of DHBVN does not show anything related to my area. What to do?

Currently online payment system has not been enabled for whole areas of Faridabad. That may be the reason that you are unable to pay bill online.

My previous bill is pending and I received latest bill yesterday. In the link provided when I put Kno details are appearing and then in Current bill previous bill is showing correctly. (latest bill might not be uploaded). Problem in when I go to online payment, bill details are not showing and on clicking MAKE PAYEMENT nothing happens….

And make sure you have allowed PopUps in your browser. If nothing happens when you click on Pay Bill link it means pop up has been disbled

Hi Pankaj, thank you for this blog, it saves the trip to go and pay the bill.
My current bill amount and the bill units are incorrect, I have lodged a complaint on the toll free number from your blog on 19th March, they told the issue will be resolved by 30th march. Nobody called me regarding the complaint. I called back again on 30th and they said issue is closed and they do not send anybody. Then I called few other numbers from your blog and one person have come and taken the readings on saturday 30th march. But he has not come with the new bill. My due date for the payment was 28th march, I have not paid the bill due to error in the readings. What do you suggest in this case, should I pay the partially or wait till the new bill comes and should i be paying the surcharge on missing the due date.

Issue with online payment would be that it won’t accept partial payment. If difference is not huge, you should pay amount full and extra amount should come back as arrears in next bill once correction is done.
You may visit electricity office, submit a written complaint there and pay partial amount on basis of complaint.

currently the online payment system of dhbvn is not working because it is not linked with payment gateway , can any one tell thay have use the online payment very recently

You should complain for same in local electricity office.
i paided my electiricy bill online today and payment has been deducted from my account but for payment staus is not update in their website. afet my time the pay,ent detals are updated in their website ????
Last Week DHBVN JE was caught red handed at Kanhai Village Gurgaon office for taking bribe for new connection…..

Sometimes, it takes 2-3 working days for their website to reflect payment. Can you check it now. If its still not there you should contact them on [email protected].
Hi Pankaj, I am staying in faridabad having sub meter, but for last 3,4 months we are not in house not using electricity. so in generally what will be the min/normal charges per month we have to pay…need such details so we can pay our share.

There is a minimum charge per KVA for electricity connections. If main meter is of 10 KVA capacity and three houses are using it through sub meter, each should pay 1/3rd of minimum charge, even if no electricity is consumed.

Our two months bill average is around 2000-2500, but this month our elec bill increase and we are using the same electrical items as usual nothing added extra and as usual same routine at home. So Can u pls tell me why this month our elec bill increases so much or i think they peopel taken wrong reading from our meter ,.So pls tell me the exact bill or send me the correct information .

Please verify the actual meter reading and what’s mentioned on bill. If there is a difference, you can complain in electricity office.
